TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - A student at the Jakarta State Polytechnic (PNJ) with the initials ARM claims he was slapped by his father after being caught engaging in lewd behavior on campus, which went viral on social media. ARM recounted kissing a young man with the initials AW in a corner of the PNJ library on Tuesday (June 2, 2026). The act was caught by other students, causing an immediate commotion. ARM claimed to have only met AW about a month and a half prior through Twitter. The friendship then led to an in-person meeting on the PNJ campus. After being caught, ARM and AW were taken to the campus security room, where ARM's father was waiting. During the meeting, witnessed by lecturers and security officers, the father appeared furious and slapped ARM and AW in turn. ARM's father then apologized to the campus while prostrating himself. He stated that he was deeply disappointed by his son's actions and resigned himself to the campus imposing severe sanctions. The PNJ campus stated that it is still considering sanctions against ARM. Dropout (DO) has been mentioned as one possible option, considering that this case is considered to have tarnished the university's reputation.
