Oasis - Live at Earl’s Court (5th November 1995)

Oasis Location: London, England, U.K Venue: Earl’s Court Exhibition Centre Date: 5th November 1995 Source: Soundboard Recording (Thieving Magpie Remaster) The second and final night in Earl’s Court is more overlooked as only one song from this night (I Am The Walrus) was featured on the There and Then DVD. As well as this, not all of the footage is available from bootlegged DVD’s, as such only the soundboard is the complete source of the concert for now until either the rest of the footage gets leaked out or an official release is planned. The soundboard here sounds fantastic, albeit the pitch does sound flat at times (it’s something I should’ve corrected in hindsight). Despite the slight overshadowing of this show compared to the first night, though it is a slightly weaker show in my opinion it is still very good overall. Liam still sounds very strong at this show, though from the footage doesn’t seem 100% comfortable with his singing, which results in him holding the microphone for several chunks of the show to keep it at his preferred position, something which he hadn’t done for over a year due to preferring hauling the power from his iconic stance. The rest of the band are in good form too and Noel’s acoustic set goes without any troubles unlike the previous show. Whatever from this show especially is possibly the best version as I feel these Earl’s Court shows were the nights where the band got the arrangement exactly right, and the same goes for I Am The Walrus. Because this is the final night in the Earl’s Court, the band pull out a special encore of Rock N’ Roll Star. This wouldn’t be a common occurrence so it’s a nice treat to end off the show.
