Power lines were also hit, and a woman was injured. Reports indicate the plant is the Azot factory. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has described the factory as crucial for Russia's explosives production. According to the company, Azot is Russia's largest producer of ammonia and nitrogen fertilizer and, according to Zelenskyy, was already attacked on June 14. The latest attack was part of a massive drone strike overnight. The Russian Defense Ministry announced that it had destroyed 660 drones over twelve Russian regions and the Crimean Peninsula, which Russia annexed in 2014. This was the highest number of drones destroyed this year, according to the state news agency TASS. Ukraine has intensified its drone strikes deep within Russia this year. The aim of this strategy is to damage the Russian economy and weaken Moscow's military capabilities. Targets hit include oil refineries and terminals, ports, and industrial facilities.
