Spanning three miles between San Francisco and Marin, the bridge is considered one of the Wonders of the Modern World.❞ In-game description. The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge and world-famous tourist destination in San Francisco, well known for it "International Orange" color. As a result of Blume's and CTOS's influence on the city, its towers are fitted with satellite dishes. The bridge has 4 lanes in total, two on each side. The bridge also has sidewalks on either side, although no pedestrians can be seen crossing the bridge. At the northern end of the bridge, off-ramps lead south back onto the road running beneath the bridge, while on the southern end of the bridge, the highway leads traffic towards the city, meeting at a cross road shortly after cornering east towards the city. In real life, the bridge contains a toll, but this is absent in-game. Also in real life, the bridge consists of six lanes, three in each direction, rather than the in-game four lanes (two in each direction). The real-life Golden Gate Bridge: The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the one-mile-wide (1.6 km) strait connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The structure links the U.S. city of San Francisco, California—the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula—to Marin County, carrying both U.S. Route 101 and California State Route 1 across the strait. It also carries pedestrian and bicycle traffic, and is designated as part of U.S. Bicycle Route 95. Being declared one of the Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers, the bridge is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco and California. Clearance above is at 14 ft (4.3 m) at toll gates, and clearance below is 220 ft (67.1 m) at high tide.
