Modern Captive Piston Ammo Could Enable Silent Handguns
With all the upcoming changes to how suppressors will be taxed and registered, it's time to dig out an old concept ammo and invent a new weapon for it. Soviet spies used captive piston or "pressure sustaining" cartridges to get small handguns very quiet, but this is an area that could be revisited with modern materials and manufacturing techniques.
