Redd Volkaert's Western Swing Analysis/Lesson (Hello Walls)

The performance with tabs:    • Redd Volkaert - Hello Walls FULL TAB!   I've been on a huge Redd Volkaert kick lately so I want to share some of the things I've picked up from his wonderful guitar wizardry. In this video he's playing a fantastic version of Hello Walls, originally by Willie Nelson. His comping mostly consists of simple chord shapes brilliantly connected through diatonic and chromatic voice leading. That's really the name of the game here, voice leading! He throws in a lot of crazy cool licks and embellishments and there's never a dull moment. I guess what I'm trying to say is: the guy knows his stuff!
