Hello. This is PD Kim from PD Kim’s Mountains Are You the Only One? I Am a Mountain Too , where I travel to every corner of the country in search of hidden, famous mountains. This time, we will be visiting Baegunsan Mountain in Miryang, a hidden gem of the Yeongnam Alps. It was named Baegunsan because the rocks hanging along the mountain's slopes resemble white clouds. PD Kim guarantees, both by himself and others, the overwhelming rocky scenery and magnificent spectacle of nature that you will encounter at the summit, so please stay tuned until the end of the video. A rugged rock festival unfolds throughout the climb of Baegunsan, leaving no room for boredom. Once you push through the crevices, you will encounter the mystery of Eoreumgol (Ice Valley) in Namyeong-ri, Miryang, where ice forms even in summer, and magnificent pine trees rooted on the barren rocky cliffs, evoking awe akin to a traditional ink painting. In particular, I believe the highlight of this hike is undoubtedly the 'Baekho Rock' (White Tiger Rock) encountered on the Baegun Ridge. The pure white rocks atop the massive cliff bear a striking resemblance to a roaring tiger, naturally eliciting admiration. Carrying that energy, the view from the summit is equally awe-inspiring. The mysterious rocks, appearing as if they were meticulously carved by an axe, and the serene landscape of Miryang spread out beneath your feet create a truly spectacular sequence. Next, you encounter another unexpected charm hidden within Mt. Baegun. As you walk along following the refreshing sound of the water, the Guryongso Waterfall overwhelms your senses, cascading down from a great height to create white spray resembling dragon scales. The finale of this journey, reached by following the stream, is Sile Hobakso, named for its resemblance to a pumpkin. Does it really look like a pumpkin to you, too? As I soak the fatigue accumulated in my legs from the hike in this cool valley water, it feels as if all the weariness in my body is washing away. From the tactile sensation of the rugged rocks and the charm of the green pine trees to the water that refreshes deep into my heart—it is truly a breathtaking experience. Although it is an unnamed mountain unknown to the public, it was an enjoyable hike filled with mysterious sights at every step.
