A Day in Berlin | Edinburgh Hillfort Tour || April and May | Vlog 66

April 2026 started off in Germany, as there were a few more days left of our Germany trip. We went on nice walks and on the day of departure we went to Berlin early and met up with one of my old friends from university. Since it was Easter, many places were shut, but luckily not museums. So we visited the Bode Museum, which has a big collection of sculptures, paintings and coins, mainly from the Middle Ages and Renaissance. Afterwards we travelled to a Korean restaurant to have dinner. It was great! Then we headed to the airport to catch our late flight (which was also late). We landed in Edinburgh after midnight and spent the night at the airport ... in a café. Anyway, we resumed our beloved nature walks and explored places we had been to before a little more thoroughly, such as Dupplin Loch. We also explored the River Almond in Cramond, Edinburgh, and saw the Cramond Falls. May rolled around and we had to go to Edinburgh again for some paperwork. Since we had a day ticket and could use any buses, we decided to finally visit Blackford Hill, the top of which is a hillfort (Blackford Prehistoric Hillfort). We did a little hillfort tour and looked at the features. Then we descended down to the Braid Hermitage and followed the Braid Burn. Quite enjoyed it, will be back. May finished with nicer weather and we went for a little Summer swim (don't expect warm water in Scotland though, haha.)
