Today's request is for excellent human being Rob East and it's been sent in by Jimbo - sending loads of love to you both! Well it's finally happened - someone requested Slipknot 😆 On listening to this for the first time yesterday, I was struck by the nice words and poetry of it all - in amongst all the angst and funny time signatures is really quite an emotional song. So I thought I'd try some soothing Slipknot, because why not eh? My apologies to any die-hard Dan's who I may have offended. You've gotta play what you can, how you can and soothing is my default setting 🙂 For the guitarists - this one is in the tuning of DADGBflatD! Normally, I do the 'Holly Jukebox Challenge' in December every year to raise funds for York Mind. However, now that many of us find our lives flipped turned upside down (as Will Smith said) due to the Coronavirus pandemic, I thought I'd try and spread a little joy from the safety of my front room and bust out some tunes for the charity in Spring/Summer 2020. York Mind is a small charity based in my hometown of York, UK. Many of the planned fundraising events have been cancelled, meaning that whilst the current situation causes people's mental health to suffer, York Mind will struggle to help everyone who needs support.
