Raid conducted at St Albans Correctional Centre in Gqeberha
National Correctional Services Commissioner, Makgothi Thobakgale, says more raids will be conducted because they are critical in combatting crimes both inside and outside prison. He says most of the hideous crimes plaguing Gqeberha currently, such as murder, extortion and gangs, are driven by kingpins within the prison.
