After Arcane season 2, “To Ashes and Blood” became my personal favorite song. It takes a lot for me to have a favorite something in media, so this says a lot about how much I love this song. The energy, fast tempo, loud percussion, even the lyrics are simple, but upon analysis, are quite deep and meaningful. Woodkid’s smooth, deep voice is also a plus. Out of sheer love and respect for this song, I wanted to try and make an orchestral cover of my own, including some moments that were in the show, but not the official version. It was a lot of fun. Hard, because of how perfect I wanted it to be, but fun. I might make some more covers from Arcane if I ever get the courage, as I love that show so much, especially the original licensed music many talented artists created. Art made by me.
