We’re a same-sex family of five (2 adults + 3 children) travelling full-time and worldschooling around the world 🌍 In today’s vlog, we’re taking you along for one of the most special experiences we’ve ever had in Thailand… visiting Elephant Jungle Sanctuary in Koh Samui 🐘 Before visiting, we were honestly nervous about elephant sanctuaries. We’ve heard so many heartbreaking stories about unethical treatment, chains, aggressive mahouts, and animals being mistreated behind the scenes. Ethical tourism was really important to us when choosing this experience… and this sanctuary completely exceeded our expectations. 🌴 WHAT’S IN THIS VIDEO: • Visiting Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Koh Samui 🐘 • Learning about ethical elephant care 💚 • No chains, no spears, no aggressive mahouts ✨ • Making traditional elephant poo paper 📄 • Preparing food for the elephants 🍉 • Feeding the elephants by hand 🥰 • Mud spa time with the elephants 🐘 • Bathing the elephants in the water 🌊 • Cooking and making our own lunch 🍜 • A special birthday surprise for Moo 🎁 • Family travel memories we’ll never forget 🌴 This experience genuinely felt so calm, respectful, and special. The elephants looked relaxed and happy, and the whole sanctuary had such a peaceful atmosphere. We loved learning more about ethical elephant tourism and getting to interact with the elephants in a way that felt kind and natural. From making poo paper to feeding and bathing them, every part of the day was unforgettable. They even gifted us beautiful tote bags and surprised Moo with a lovely birthday present, which made the experience feel even more personal and meaningful. 🌴 We’d love your thoughts!
