1st Kyu Aikido Syllabus

The path to Black Belt step by step. The final installment and last part of the Series 5-1 kyu Aikido foundation Syllabus. 1st kyu is considered a dress-rehearsal for shodan, first degree black belt. Adding the previous kyu syllabus (5-2) to this 1st kyu syllabus completes the basic structure of techniques of Aikido. It's a minimalist syllabus but it contains the required number of techniques as stated by the late Saito Morihiro Shihan, 9 dan, of Iwama. We have covered a number of grips, attacks, kihon/basic form and awase/blending form, all which are standard Aikido syllabus worldwide. The 1st Kyu Aikido Syllabus includes: 1.
