Bulldog Rescue & Raw Stone Ethics - Welcome to the Lapidary Art Studio!

Welcome to the very first episode of GothicZen RockHound! The plan for today was supposed to be a laid-back introduction to the channel, meeting my bulldog Sava, and talking about our studio ethics. But just like cutting into a raw boulder opal, you can never predict the outcomes... 🐾 From an unexpected creek rescue to a broken pair of prescription sunglasses, things went sideways fast. Once we finally composed ourselves, we got down to the craft: showing you the massive difference between naturally polished stones and those ruined by artificial glazes (using two pieces of petrified wood as an example), and grabbing a couple of raw rocks to take back for the lapidary wheel. This channel is all about raw authenticity, muddy adventures, and true craftsmanship. No fake sealers, no shortcuts. 🛒 SHOP THE STONES: Love a solid gem story? We sell our raw-cut Australian boulder opals and bespoke lapidary art directly through our stores. We keep things entirely natural - which means zero artificial sealers, just honest craftsmanship and a natural polish. Make sure to subscribe to join the adventure and never miss a new stone drop!
