Replacing your car battery (Ford Mondeo Mk4 2007 onwards)

How to replace the battery on your car. In this video I how how to replace the battery on a Ford Mondeo Mk4. I have not added any commentary to this video as it is hopefully self explanatory. Leave the car at least 5 minutes after switching off the ignition and make sure you have your radio code before disconnecting the battery. Always disconnect the negative first. I used a Bosch S5 type 100 (S5007) which has slightly lower Ah than the standard battery (74Ah v 80Ah) but higher CCA (750CCA v 720CCA). The Bosch is also a slightly smaller battery. If you want something more powerful you could go for the Bosch S5010 or Varta F18. The Varta is the same physical size as the standard battery (315x175x175) but more powerful in both Ah and CCA (85Ah and 800CCA).
