Mario Cavagnaro Llerena, a great musician and composer, held a special affection for the program "Mediodía Criollo" (Creole Midday), broadcast on TV Channel 7 in Lima, Peru. In 1998, the program was hosted by the German-Peruvian Elleen Burhum and directed by Teresa Blanco, and during this remarkable period, it featured many prominent figures of Peruvian Creole music. Thus, in a tribute to him, and perhaps prophetically, he sings his waltz, "El Regreso" (The Return), accompanied by the program's resident ensemble.
