I was really struck by the contrast between how Poles communicate on the internet and the toxicity we're used to in the Russian-speaking segment. Even when Poles don't like something, they manage to write about it POLITELY! It's like something from another planet, I'm not joking. And life in Warsaw... it showed us a completely different side of European life. Yes, prices in Poland are higher than in Belarus (especially if you take housing in the center of Warsaw), but the level of life satisfaction is completely different! What about the story with our neighbor who warned us about the border guards coming, thinking we might be "taken to war"... Such a sincere display of humanity, no jokes, almost brought us to tears. I'm interested in your opinion - is it just us who got lucky with Poles, or are they really that responsive? And how about other Polish cities? Are relationships between locals and migrants the same in Krakow, Wroclaw or Gdansk? Nastya and I constantly discuss how similar Poles and Belarusians are in mentality.
