The Currency playing cards of the Russian brand "Kartburo," released in 2025, are a logical yet distinctive continuation of the Treasury deck. In both decks, the artist, Vitaly Sinkevich, uses graphic techniques typical of banknote design and also imitates counterfeit security features in the card design. However, the leitmotif of the decks is different. The Treasury decks are inspired by Russian banknotes from the late Tsarist, transitional, and early Soviet periods. The Currency decks are inspired by film adaptations of the novels "The Twelve Chairs" and "The Golden Calf," as well as the style of dollar bills.
