Auburn Football - Top 25 Jim Fyffe calls

This is a 10-year anniversary dedication to the legendary Jim Fyffe, voice of the Auburn Tigers from 1981-2002, who unexpectedly passed away far too soon on May 15th, 2003. He was and still is widely regarded as one of the better College radio announcers of all-time. The order chosen certainly won't suit everyone and am certain there are many favorite calls that just missed the list. There are certainly bigger wins that didn't make the list or weren't ranked higher, but this was more about Jim than just Auburn. With literally hundreds of calls to choose from, the calls chosen and order they were placed in were based on three main factors, the quality of -- or building a crescendo which Jim was so good at, painting a picture of the play for his audience -- which he was a master of, and excitement level and dramatics of Jim's calls, not necessarily the bigger the games. However, the bigger the stakes for Auburn and the more dramatic the win, the more Jim rose to the occasion. I hope you'll enjoy this as much as I enjoyed putting it together. War Eagle Jim!
