Healthy ginger wine using Jaggery in 7 days | Coorg style wine | Ginger wine without using yeast Homemade ginger wine is made with simple ingredients such as ginger , Jaggery and small amount whole wheat. Wheat is used for fermentation. It can be replaced by rice or ragi( finger millet) but fermentation days varies. Our homemade ginger wine recipe is illustrated with simple procedure in this video. Why not try this recipe and check it out. INGREDIENTS: Ginger - 200 grms Jaggery - 1 cup(250 grms) Wheat - 2 tsp Water - 3 cups(750 ml, boiled and cooled) Instructions to prepare wine: 1. Peal the ginger skin and pound it using mortar and pestle. 2. Transfer the pieces into a air-tight container. 3. Add jaggery, wheat, boiled and cooled water and cover the lid. 4. Keep the container in the dark place for 7 days. 5. After 7 days, strain the contents into a vessel, dilute it by adding a cup of boiled and cooled water, transfer it into a glass container. 6. Cover the lid tightly and place it in dark place for another 3 days so that it will ferment well. 7. After 3 days, ginger wine is ready to serve. The taste gets better as it ages. It can be stored up to 1 year, just make sure you use good ginger and boiled and cooled water in this wine making process.
