Fancy Kitty Drum Carder: How to Mount a Motor to The Base: Full Tutorial: Fancy Kitty Little Tom XL

This is a full length tutorial. This is part one of a two part series, on how to mount a motor to your hand crank Fancy Kitty drum carder. The one in this video is a Fancy Kitty Little Tom XL. In order to do this you will need: -Two twelve inch clamps (heavy duty) The ones used here are 12” Irwin Clamps -Two to four five inch clamps to clamp the inner ridges while screwing the motor base to the drum carder base. So there are no gaps. Two is fine just move them from side to side when drilling screws through. -Phillips head screw driver (hand held) and a drill bit -Square hole drill bit -3/32 drill bit to make holes for your screws to go into the drum carder base from the motor base. -Ice pick to mark and indentation where you are drilling the holes. Monkey wrench or 3/4” wrench I use a monkey wrench. -Measuring Tape -Ruler for clean lines for marking where to drill. -Sharpened pencil Some drum carders are already equipped with the four drill holes I put in, in these videos to mount the two bases together.
