Evaluating a Cam for Wear - from a Triumph TR6
I am rebuilding my engine, and pulled the camshaft. I needed to both identify which cam it was, and how worn it was. Using specs from the manual, other Cam manufacturers, and some various websites below I determined the wear state of the cam, and which cam it is. I can now decide whether to buy another cam or reuse this one. Helpful websites I refer to: cam wear: https://mgaguru.com/mgtech/engine/cm1... http://www.v8wizard.com/Camshaft_wear... cam identification: http://www.hottr6.com/triumph/tr6cams...
