The hard truth is that the darkness will never go away. Sorrow, hate & grief are a part of life. The key is to surround yourself w/ the things that are part of your light, making it shine brighter than the dark. Fight to make the reasons you are still here stronger than the things that make you want to go. W/out the dark, we would take the light for granted. The contrast of it all is what makes us live instead of just existing. You don't have to forgive people who hurt you. But no one can turn back time & undo what happened. The best thing for everyone is to learn from their trauma, let go of the rest & grow stronger from it. That's the only way you can take control of your life. As far as we know, we have only one life & I’m planning to make the most of mine. I’m currently digging around for alternate treatments for my PTSD. I have talked w/ psychiatrists & therapists for over 12 years now & I still suffer from my traumas. Let’s hope for a miracle, shall we? Remember that you never lose: you win or learn. Take care of yourself & know that you never overreact. There’s always a reason for your feelings, they are always valid & don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. It was originally intended to be just a Cullavellan tribute, but I couldn't keep Fenris away when it came to PTSD. Then, I threw in some Zevran. Zevran’s life has been rough, even though he puts on a mask for the world. I knew right away how I wanted Cullen's nightmare to be portrayed. It's from Cullen's perspective w/ Surana transforming into Lavellan. Though it took around 5 times of replaying Cullavellan knocking boots before I got the flycam in the right angle. How I suffer for my art ;) The laugh is an extracted audio file from Origins, belonging to a Desire-demon. I edited a copy in Audacity to make it sound more distorted & dark. Then, I just mixed them together. As always, I made it beautiful & happy at the end, since friendship & love can heal what’s broken. PS. To you people saying that my traumas can’t be that bad if I can look at it so plainly: we can either choose to be stuck in what was, feel sorry for ourselves & give up, or be determined to not let the rest of our lives be stolen from us. It’s either give up or give it your all. What other choices are there?
