Tari Puspanjali: This popular welcome dance was choreographed in 1989 by Ni Luh Swasthi Wijaya Bandem to music by I Nyoman Windha, as a modern re-interpretation of the ceremonial Réjang dance. The dance was premiered by seventy dancers at the opening of PERWOSI (Persatuan Wanita Olah Raga Seluruh Indonesia), The Association of Pan-Indonesian Women Athletes. Puspa means flower, and anjali means respect. Dancers: Andrea Rutkowski, Saryani Asmayawati, Catherine Henryanto, Laura Scanlon, Alexandra Kulanthai, June Baker. Music by Lila Cita Gamelan group UK.
