We leave the Montmagny wharf by ferry, and we begin our crossing of the St. Lawrence towards the archipelago of Isle aux Grues, Emblematic figures of Montmagny and the surrounding islands, the great snow geese return by the thousands every fall to the banks of the St. Lawrence, in the Isle-aux-Grues archipelago. And depending on the year, there are between 250,000 and 700,000 snow geese on the island's sandbanks, and sometimes even a million!
