Cola drinks aren't the most elegant beverage in the world, nor are they the healthiest. However, they are consumed by millions of people, seduced by their peculiar flavor, their bubbles, and their characteristic dark caramel color (and by the enormous amounts of sugar or sweetener they usually contain, let's not kid ourselves). Pepsi and, above all, Coca-Cola, dominate the market for these drinks, but most supermarkets carry their own store-brand versions, and some smaller companies also try to compete with "alternative" versions.
