Cops tear down shrine to Mafia’s murdered “baby boss”

Police in Italy dismantled a shrine memorializing the Mafia's “Baby Boss” Emanuele Sibillo; known as ES17, he quickly became legendary in the Camorra in Naples, despite his rise and fall both coming when still a teenager. In Italy they are called “la paranza dei bambini.” He was killed at 19. After his death in 2015, the shrine kept his memory alive with photos, a statue, flowers and tributes. Police came to dismantle the display, saying it became a tool for crime. As the second part of the police message to the paranza, 21 people were arrested, accused of belonging to the Sibillo clan.
