Now, more advanced humanoid robots are severely restricted in power and forced to obey humans. A secret robot-only party is being held in a warehouse in a back alley. Tokio, a robot working at the mansion of Machiko Kagurazaka, a former scientist and Dr. Ochanomizu's last apprentice. Tokio's best friend, Azuri, is a kind-hearted robot nurse. The song the two created gives joy to the robots, who lack freedom. Then, three young humans wander into the place: Maria, who ran away from home due to a falling out with her parents, and Take and Emi, who stole money from a factory with poor working conditions and fled. The cries of the robot and the human, singing of their own inner freedom, connect their hearts. Maria and Azuri are eventually attracted to each other, but this leads to tragedy, and former scientist Sula instigates, saying, "Let's revive Atom, with its 100,000 horsepower, as a lethal weapon."
