X-Files' William B. Davis AKA Cigarette Smoking Man on Atheism, Skepticism and Life
Canadian Actor and Acting teacher William B. Davis, best known as the X-Files infamous arch-villain "Cigarette Smoking Man", talks about his new memoirs, "Where There's Smoke: Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man" with Think Again! TV Host Justin Trottier. Davis discusses his career, how he came out as an atheist in a 1950s rural Ontario high school, why science is a better sell than skepticism, his plans he has for transitioning towards advancing education in climate science and evolution, and, provocatively, how he enjoys arguing that Mulder was the true X-Files villain! The two also chat about why, despite arguments to the contrary by his hero Richard Dawkins, the X-Files seems to have such lasting appeal - even to skeptics. Think Again! TV is produced by the Centre for Inquiry, a registered Canadian charity. To join or make a charitable donation visit www.cficanada.ca/support.
