Her Lens; His Will - A Christmas Story (Stage Play)

This story portrays the 9 months pregnancy journey of Mary, the mother of Jesus. The conventional story told tells us about a smooth transition from the divine visitation through to the birth of Christ. Ancient Jerusalem, just like every other society had customs against pregnancy before marriage. Mary’s innocence to this pregnancy wasn’t a guarantee for exemption from society’s fingers. In this stage play, we view through the lens of Mary to understand her fear, suffering, rejection, verge of giving up, her determination, support, obedience and the consequent glory at the end. This story exposes us to the will of God in our lives. Many are the plans of Man but God’s plan in our lives will suffice. He says he has good plans for us; plans to prosper and not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future. If only we will align ourselves to the will of God in our lives, He who has called us will reward us with glory and our names will forever be engraved on the stone of remembrance even in our passing.
