Prof. Rosario Faraci-Economia e Gestione delle Imprese (Capitolo 5)
"Development and Innovation Processes" - In increasingly changing market environments, does a company's ability to innovate depend solely on internal R&D investments, or does it also depend on collaborations and partnerships with other entities, with a view to greater knowledge sharing and joint exploitation of research results? This fifth chapter of the book "Economia e Gestione delle Imprese" analyzes development and innovation processes, which are crucial to understanding firms' competitive advantage. Two different interpretative models are presented: closed innovation and the open innovation paradigm. From the latter perspective, the knowledge exploration and exploitation activities undertaken by companies are analyzed.
