To commemorate today's loss of Lemmy Kilmister, a true rock and roll icon, here's an interview from the archives where Lemmy, Phil and Mikkey Dee talk about being the loudest band in the world, when the Motorhead ethos of “dogged persistence in the face of the contrary” was formed, the early days and when Mikkey toured alongside Motorhead with King Diamond, what keeps them together and what they love and hate about each other, their take on the scourge of reality TV, getting an all girl crew, their biggest hit “Please Don’t Touch” with Girlschool, why their German fans are so loyal, winning a Grammy Award and the memorable ceremony with Slipknot, the business show of show business, what makes them laugh and more. This (almost) uncut interview was filmed at Sydney's Enmore Theatre back in 2007.
