In this video, we visited the historic Annapurna Temple in Titagarh near Barrackpore and the peaceful and historic Gandhi Ghat located on the banks of the Ganges. Built in 1875 by Jagadamba Devi, this Navaratna temple is known by many as “Mini Dakshineswar”. It has an idol of the eight-metal goddess Annapurna, a silver Shivling, exquisite terracotta craftsmanship, a row of Shiva temples along the river and the historic Nahabatkhana—with which the memory of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa is associated. Then we reach Gandhi Ghat, where the remains of Mahatma Gandhi are preserved.
