Le reazioni delle persone obese agli insulti sul loro peso [ESPERIMENTO SOCIALE]

SUBSCRIBE TO THE CHANNEL: http://fanpa.ge/kHck2 How often do we hear jokes about fat people? Every day, because the majority of people, unfortunately, make jokes about fat people, obese people, or even just overweight people. Jokes, or so-called jokes, often disguised as "I'm joking," or "what the heck is that?" or "it's just a figure of speech," without realizing that certain "jokes" can kill, and those words almost always bring the targeted person to tears of pain. Jokes about obese people, in particular, are countless. It's as if obesity were considered the fault of the obese person, and therefore many feel entitled to make jokes about them. Nowadays, fortunately, almost no one makes jokes about black people because they are black, or about Jews, or about people with disabilities. But the mockery of obese people remains, as if these insults were less serious, as if these insults were truly an effective incentive to lose weight, or as if the bully's laughter were more important than the person being mocked's pain; as if those words weren't a mean, cowardly insult aimed at someone who's often struggling. With this video, I decided to conduct a social experiment, filming the reactions of some obese people to jokes and "jokes" about their weight; these are words, phrases, and insults I took from the internet, Facebook comments, or the worst barroom conversations. The purpose of the video is simple, and in my opinion effective: to show viewers what they usually don't care about: the reactions of the people being mocked. Above all, with this video, I wanted to try to share some of the lives of obese people, the ones that no one, between a joke and an insult, ever asks about. Those pieces of history, and of life, that perhaps, if everyone knew or found the courage to even try to imagine, they would shy away from laughing at a physical condition that is above all an illness, and can arise from a thousand issues no one should dare judge. I conceived, organized, and produced this video from my original idea. But this video would never have seen the light of day, or certainly would have been much worse, without the collaboration of Andrea Esposito, Francesco Galgano, and Peppe Pace, in alphabetical order. My three colleagues handled all the filming, photography, and audio. But above all, it is thanks to them that many insights, questions, ideas, and approaches were possible. With advice, support, and many, many fundamental ideas for its implementation. A special thanks to https://www.onsonlus.it, the website of the association "Ons Onlus Obesity Nutrition and Health".
