FLAT OUT | S01:E02 — Franciacorta

Five days. Twelve drivers. 600+ laps. One mission: get faster. FLAT OUT follows the next generation of karting talent through the BabyRace Summer Camp programme — the academy that has produced 29 WSK Championships, 19 WSK Vice-Championships, and 10 ACI Italian Championships in the post-Covid era. Season 01, Episode 02 takes us to Franciacorta Karting Track, home of many FIA World Championship races. From the 5th to the 9th of June, 12 young drivers from across the world lived and breathed Mini Gr3 karting through dry heat, wet sessions, and everything Lonato's unpredictable spring weather could throw at them. These are 7-to-12 year-olds. The karts are 60 Mini Gr.3 — ≈105 km/h top speed, 2.2g of lateral force through the corners. This is not a summer camp. This is a professional racing environment, scaled down to fit a child. This is our third year running the Summer Camps. The format is total immersion: on-track sessions every morning, video and telemetry debriefs every afternoon, race craft, mental preparation with Formula Medicine — the same mental training program behind multiple F1 World Champions. Gym work, nutrition, recovery. A 1:4 coach-to-driver ratio. No shortcuts. The kids arrive as drivers. They leave as racers. What you're watching is five days condensed. The braking points re-learned in the rain. The overtakes that didn't exist on day one. The friendships forged in the awning between sessions — the part of motorsport that doesn't show up on a stopwatch but shapes everything that comes after. Six camps. One season.
