KSRTC| EV Power plus| Shivmogga to Bengaluru|E-bus In March 2023 KSRTC inducted electric buses into its fleet. Called as EV Power Plus, the buses are procured from Olectra greentech Ltd. Currently, the buses are running to Mysuru, Virajpete, Davanagere, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, and Shivmogga from Bangalore. Decided to try the 13:00hrs service between Shivmogga and Bengaluru. We reached Shivmoga Bus stand at 12:30pm and found the bus already in its platform ready for boarding. The route of the bus is via Bhadravati- Birur-Arsikere-KB cross-Gubbi-Bangalore Fare: ₹622 The bus departed from Shivmogga Bus Stand and headed towards the under construction highway. Due to 4 laning work in progress, the highway is riddled wth speed brekers and deviations which slowed the bus down. After a 2hrs ride crossing Bhadravati and Birur, we stopped for Lunch at Kadur. We resumed our journey after lunch and the highway from here is completed at certain stretches which let us cover lost time. We were dropped at Bengaluru(Nagasandra Metro Station) at 7:15PM.
