The Romantic Lure Of Hawaii - Exotic Sounds Of The Surfmen (1963) Beautiful, relaxing, exotica sounds of Polynesia. About the Surfmen: Did you know that the Surfmen were made from a group of West Coast jazz musicians? The owner of Somerset (David L. Miller) wanted them to produce an album in the Exotica style made famous by Martin Denny and Arthur Lyman. In the early sixties, the Surfmen produced a total of two albums. This particular album (titled The Romantic Lure of Hawaii) was originally released as "the Surfmen in Hawaii."
