Alamacca - 希望の記号 (Symbol of Hope) (1997) (90's Japanese Hip Hop)

Another Alamacca gem. This song, which I discovered through my friend Miles, has been everything to me for the past 5 months—I just can't get enough of it. As someone who picked up the guitar about 3 years ago, the beat really hits home, especially with the sample from guitarist Kenny Rankin's "Like a Seed." Not only did they choose quite an obscure record to sample, they someone turned it into a killer beat. Seriously, they killed this track. They even had someone else play guitar over this track, blending it with the original sample. And let's not forget the trumpet played by Mr. Fujtani, RIP. Once again, Mad Tiger Pone kills this track. The hook is so powerful: "kurai mirai nanta ira nai" = I don't need a dark future. Just killer tracks on the whole 12-inch. Peace. https://www.discogs.com/release/34588...
