When I reviewed Ari's 7 albums, I was surprised to find that "Sweetener" seemed to be a turning point: the first three albums were about sweet love, desire and affection in the adult world, but in "Sweetener", the theme of healing pain began to appear. The main theme of the three albums after "Sweetener" was almost all about healing. I personally think that the reason why "Eternal Sunshine" is so touching is that it is closer to Ari's heart than "Thank U Next" and "Position". The first two emphasized "I don't care", while "Eternal Sunshine" expressed frankly "I am really hurt, and I haven't completely walked out of it." Eternal Sunshine" is more like Ari telling how she is doing recently through music: "Life is sometimes bad, but you still have to go on, don't you?"
