If You're Tired of Losing to Creatures, Watch This (Premodern)

Most people expect mono-red decks to race. This one plays the long game. In this video, we’re piloting Mono-Red Control in Premodern, built around repeatable sweepers, mana denial (land destruction), and inevitability. When the board keeps getting wiped, the game stops being about tempo — and starts being about who can rebuild. Between Powder Keg, Nevinyrral’s Disk, and a deep suite of sweepers, very little is allowed to stick. And when it’s time to actually close the game, our manlands, Hammer of Bogardan, and Shard Phoenix do the heavy lifting. The league was a positive run overall, even through some tough matchups. Aggressive strategies can be challenging, but once the game slows down, this deck feels right at home. Shard Phoenix in particular was outstanding — stabilizing boards, recurring pressure, and quietly winning games that had no business dragging on.
