Quick Tips: Using Inkscape to trace a bitmap
A quick tips video response to a recent Facebook question on how to make an SVG from an image they found online. This is applicable to many maker applications such as Cricut vinyl cutters, laser engravers, cnc machines, etc... There will be times where tracing won't do the job and you'll have to resort to manually drawing with the pen tool but if you start with a high contrast original such as a piece of clip art or a good contrast image, tracing can be very powerful.
