A Desert in Canada?

Who could imagine that there is are sand dunes in one of the coldest places on the planet. Great Sand Hills in Saskatchewan is a hidden gem. These sand dunes in the middle of the Canadian Prairies makes you feel like you have travelled to an exotic location like Sahara. The temperatures in the winter can dip as low as -40 and in summer as high as 40 degrees Celsius. The Great Sandhills is in South Western Saskatchewan near Saskatchewan Alberta border. There is no major city in the vicinity of these Sand hills. You get a uniquely remote experience when visiting this area. There are several small towns on the way which are very well preserved and offer a window to the past. In addition to visiting Sand Dunes, I'm also taking you to two small Prairie town, Leader and Eatonia. These towns have a lot of Character and are worth visiting. South Western Saskatchewan is resource rich with large reserves of oil.
