"The Fisherman" by Leo Kottke on 1936 Prairie State
This post is in celebration of being one person away from 1000 subscribers! Thanks to all the folks out there who have followed, liked, and commented on my videos over the years. "The Fisherman" may have been the song that inspired me to pick up the guitar about 20 years ago, it is certainly one of the very first Leo Kottke songs I tried to learn. It's been a long journey since then. I transcribed this from the record My Feet Are Smiling. I used one of my favorite guitars for this video, a pearl-trimmed 1936 Prairie State OM built by the Larson brothers. The guitar is in almost the same condition as it was when it left their shop a little over 80 years ago.
