Qué reclaman los mapuche de Chile

Chile's largest indigenous group is reclaiming its ancestral lands and seeking to protect the natural environment from the activities of large-scale logging, energy, and agricultural companies. The government has declared a state of emergency in four provinces in the south-central part of the country and deployed 2,000 soldiers to combat violent groups, which it blames for a series of attacks on agricultural machinery and properties, truck fires, and shootings.
