The anticipation of securing the traps beneath the rushing water and waiting for the silver flash of fish inside is a testament to the simple but rewarding cycle of forest life. 🐟💧🔍 However, while waiting for our harvest by the riverbank, nature suddenly turned against us as a violent storm and heavy rain unexpectedly rolled in. Caught off guard by the flashing flash floods, I had to use my survival instincts to seek immediate safety while watching the mountain stream transform into a roaring torrent of mud. Returning after the storm to find our handcrafted traps completely buried under rocky debris and ruined by the heavy currents makes the reality of mountain life feel truly challenging yet empowering. 🌧️🌊💪 Once the danger is managed and we salvage what we can from the ruined riverbank, I head toward a safe clearing to prepare a primitive survival meal with our backup resources. After gathering dry wood that survived the storm and starting a small fire, I prepare a traditional forest feast. I roast our remaining provisions over the glowing embers, making sure to cook them until the skin is perfectly charred and fragrant.
