Arunachal CM Change; No High Command Order; BJP Expresses Confidence in Khandu's Victory

Itanagar, May 31: Speculation over a possible change in leadership in Arunachal Pradesh has intensified following reports linking Chief Minister Pema Khandu to an ongoing CBI preliminary enquiry into alleged corruption-related matters. According to reports circulating on social media and some news platforms, the BJP leadership may take a decision on the state's leadership after the Supreme Court delivers its verdict on matters related to the CBI enquiry. The reports have fuelled discussions over the possibility of Khandu stepping down or a change in the chief ministerial post. However, Arunachal Pradesh BJP president Kaling Moyong has dismissed reports claiming that the party high command has directed a change in leadership. He termed such reports misleading and clarified that no proposal regarding a chief ministerial change has been included in the party's agenda.
