Many are familiar with the story of the Decembrist wives who voluntarily followed their exiled husbands to Siberia. For many years, their example became a model of female devotion and love. Pavel Ananyin, a Ural tour guide and author of the "Decembrist Labyrinth" tour project, revealed the stories of famous Russian women who foreshadowed the fates of the Decembrists' wives, as well as little-known and tragic love stories associated with the exiles, and spoke about other women who helped the Decembrists in exile. The lecture also recalled the most famous Decembrist couples, compared them to the cast of the film "The Captivating Star of Happiness," and discussed the choices each of the wives of the noble revolutionaries faced. A recording of the lecture was given at the Poklevsky-Kozell House Museum and Exhibition Center on March 1, 2024.
