Easy Way to Work Out the Key of a Song
Because there are only two half-steps in a key, there is a 50% chance that the upper note in any half step you come across in a melody is the key of the song. I go into a lot of detail about how you can narrow it down for 100% certainty and I also explain situations where this method might not work.
