The fact that the engine will not only be used in unmanned aerial vehicles like the Anka III, but also will soon be deployed in an afterburner version on platforms like the Bayraktar Kızılelma is a revolutionary development for Turkey's defense industry. President of Defense Industries Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün summarizes how Teknofest transforms young people with the following words: "In a sector where the average age is 33, our young people play a leading role in the production of high-tech products." Another highlight of the festival was Turkcell's 5G test. Turkey's leading technology brand demonstrated that 5G is more than just fast internet by remotely controlling an autonomous marine vehicle off the coast of Kyrenia from the festival grounds in Nicosia with a delay of only 15 milliseconds. Turkcell General Manager Dr. Ali Taha Koç's words, "This is a groundswell," are no coincidence; young people are no longer just watching; they are building this future themselves with domestic technologies. At the Turkish Airlines stand, there were coding workshops. Primary school-aged children were coding their own drones and turning their dreams into software. Turkish Airlines Innovation Director Lokman Öktem described the enthusiasm as follows: "We welcomed over 60,000 visitors on the first day. Young people from all over Cyprus are offering us their ideas. This synergy encourages us to do more." There were also participants from abroad. A participant named Fo, who studies at a university in Northern Cyprus, said Teknofest was both educational and fun, and emphasized that he was impressed by the energy of the Turkish youth. The festival featured numerous projects that will shape the future, including women's entrepreneurship, startup support, innovation accelerator programs, and the Turkish Airlines Terminal fund. Istanbul-based game studios like Uito Games are connecting with investors through Teknofest.
