Part 3 Title: From a Winter Resort to a Heatwave in 1 Day! 30°C Difference :) We're ultimately heading to the Greek Peloponnese. In this episode: The drive from Kopaonik to Ohrid is approximately 500 km and takes 6.5 to 8 hours. The fastest and most convenient route is through Serbia (A1 motorway) to North Macedonia, then through Skopje and Tetovo towards the lake. Required Documents and Practical Information: Passport or ID: Polish citizens can enter North Macedonia with a valid ID card or passport. Green Card: This is absolutely necessary. Check with your insurer to ensure your third-party liability insurance policy covers Serbia and North Macedonia. Vignettes and Tolls: In Serbia, highway tolls are charged at toll booths (cash payment in RSD/EUR or by card). Toll booths are also applicable in North Macedonia. Driver's Tip: The access roads to Kopaonik itself are narrow and very steep. Make sure your car's tires are winter-proof if you're traveling in the months when the mountains are still covered in snow. The descent to Ohrid in Macedonia winds through mountains where speed limits often apply, and you need to watch out for loose rocks.
